Species Lists

BIRD TRIBE
Birds (class Aves) are feathered, winged, bipedal, endothermic (warm-blooded), egg laying vertebrate animals. There are about 10,000 living species, making them the most speciose class of tetrapod vertebrates. They inhabit ecosystems around the globe.
Species of Concern in Washington State will have an asterisk between the common and latin name.
